PPM introduces loyalty cards

Male’, Maldives – Opposition party Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) has introduced loyalty cards within the party today to raise funds for the party’s activities.

The loyalty cards were introduced by Abdul Raheem Abdullah (Adhurey), who is in charge of the PPM/ PNC coalition at a special ceremony today. After the introduction of the cards, the first card was presented to Former President Yaameen Abdul Gayyoom who is currently in jail. On behalf of the Former President Yaameen, his son Zane Abdullah Yaameen accepted the honorary card during today’s ceremony.

PPM introduced four categories of loyalty cards which are Magenta, Silver, Gold and Platinum. With these cards, members would be able to donate any amount above MVR 100 to the party’s donation fund. This is the first time such cards have been introduced in a political party.

PPM revealed that the revenue from the sale of these cards will be used for the administration of the party in addition to running the political activities of the opposition as well as the steering committees in different atolls. Furthermore, PPM said that in addition to the loyalty cards, they will soon be opening a store with merchandise of the party as well as a café specialized for members of the party.
