Addu, Maldives – HOEC has confirmed that 2 tourists have been tested positive for Covid-19 at South Palm Resort.
HOEC reports that the 3 close contact are found to be staff and the positive cases and samples have been taken for testing. HOEC is monitoring the situation closely while waiting for the test results.
South Palm Resort welcomed their first tourists since borders opened post-Covid on 16 December 2020.
The latest Covid-19 statistics show that there are 1017 active cases, with over 290 cases in operational resorts.
