Addu City, Maldives – The services of Addu Flu Clinic will be moved back to Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) starting from 13th March, revealed the hospital.

This was revealed via a tweet sent out by the hospital today, which also detailed the opening times of the clinic.

  • Open: 14:00 – 18:00
  • Open: 19:00 – 22:00

Any one who experiences the classic flu like symptoms such as fever, headache, sore throat and coughing are urged to consult the flu clinic immediately.

The Addu Flu Clinic was initially set up in the former Hithadhoo Regional Hospital (HRH) building, where the Public Health Unit was established. However, the clinic was moved to AEH, until recently when Addu experienced a sudden surge of Covid-19 cases via local transmission. The decision to move the flu clinic back to the HRH building was made in order to decrease the the number of patients presenting with flu symptoms into the hospital.

With cases slowing down and only a handful of active cases remaining in the city, the flu clinic services are to resume at the AEH building after this.
