Malé, Maldives – Maldives Police Service has confirmed that Criminal Court of Maldives had released the police officer who was arrested last night with alcohol bottles.
According to media official of MPS, the officer was released by court when he was taken for remanding. The police officer was arrested last night in an operation carried out by Drug Enforcement Division (DED) of Maldives Police Service.
Police media official also added that the officer who had been arrested was suspended from work until further notice. No further information about the officer has been given out by police yet.
