Addu City, Maldives – Addu City Council has handed over 31 lands to the successful bidders to develop guest houses and hotels in Addu City.
In a ceremony held today at Feydhoo tourism zone, the 31 lands were handed over to the winners by Minister of Tourism, Dr. Abdulla Mausoom.
The lands handed over today included 7 lands from Hithadhoo Tourism Zone, one from Maradhoo Tourism Zone, 12 lands in Feydhoo, 9 from Hulhudhoo and 2 from Meedhoo Tourism Zone.
The bid winners of these lands had signed the agreements on 14th and 15th of this month. The construction of tourist guesthouses and hotels should start at most in 2 years, for the lands given today.
Total 93 lands have been allocated for tourist guesthouses and hotels in Addu City. Whilst 31 have been given for development, the remaining 62 lands are open for invitation to tender.
