Covid-19: Travellers from Naifaru & Felivaru to observe 10 day quarantine

Malé, Maldives – Health Protection Agency (HPA) has requested all individuals who travelled from Naifaru and Felivaru to other islands to inform the closest health center or hospital.

The island of Lh. Naifaru has been placed under monitoring on 23 March 2021 after one employee of the hospital who travelled to R. Ungoofaaru tested positive for Covid-19. Lhaviyani Atoll hospital located in Lh. Naifaru was shut down for contact tracing due to as well.

Individuals are requested to inform the nearest health center or hospital and follow quarantine protocols if they had travelled to and from 10 March 2021 and quarantine for 10 days. Upon completion of 10 days, individuals are supposed to get tested for Covid-19.

The same is protocols are to be followed for individuals who travelled to and from Lh. Felivaru after 1 March 2021.

Those who travelled to Malé, from these islands are requested to visit the nearest flu clinic. Flu clinics are located at Hulhumalé, Villimalé and in Malé near Malé Hiya.
