Malé, Maldives – Health Protection Agency (HPA) has confirmed today, that the official Facebook page of the Agency has been compromised by hackers.
The announcement was made of Twitter, which said that efforts are underway to recover the account, meanwhile which, the public are requested to follow other official media of the Agency, such as Twitter, Viber and Telegram channels.
While no details have been released as to how the hackers managed to get access to the page, the page has now been taken down.
Earlier during 2020, the HPA website also got attacked, where it got hacked and authorities were locked out of the website. Since then, the website still remains under maintenance with all information regarding the pandemic and other public health related information disseminated via other official platforms.
