HDC call center established in Fuvahmulah

Fuvahmulah, Maldives – Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has established a call center in Fuvahmulah city with the hotline 1516.

HDC said that the aim of the call center is to provide ease of communication to the pubic, facilitating in information delivery and assistance. The call center established in Fuvahmulah is a step towards providing HDC services to the islands.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Fuvahmulah Mayor Falah Shareef said that the Council intends to maintain the relationship with HDC and utilize the expertise of the corporation for the development of the city.

HDC Managing Director Suhail Ahmed said that the call center will create jobs for residents of Fuvahmulah city and form stronger relations between HDC and Fuvahmulah local council. He added that HDC will provide company experts to develop the city and foresees Fuvahmulah to be a city similar to Hulhumalé.

HDC states that the employees of the call center will be local island hires from Fuvahmulah including the three employees working at present. The corporation will train employees as well.

Housing Development Corporation Ltd. (HDC) is a 100% state owned enterprise formed by a presidential decree in 2009. HDC develops and builds project in a feasible and commercially viable manner. The housing corporation invests in infrastructure including roads, landscaping, and ensuring that basic utilities as well as other essential services are available for investors and residents.
