BREAKING: Maldives records 71st Covid-19 death

Malé, Maldives – The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has informed that an 80 year old man, being treated at Hulhumalé Medical Hospital had passed away at 23:25 last night due to Covid-19.

With the passing away of the 80 year old man, the total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country has risen to 71. 

Since the country recorded its first case of Covid-19, Maldives has reported 71 deaths in connection to Covid-19. The deceased are 64 Maldivian nationals, 6 Bangladeshi nationals and a Filipino national.

HPA had earlier revealed that the total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in the country has reached 26,505 out of which 23,691 patients have made full recoveries, as of 18:00 of April 20, 2021.
