Malé, Maldives – Two people in police custody have escaped while being transported to Covid-19 facility last night.
Police said that they were released from custody to Health Protection Agency (HPA) after testing positive for Covid-19, to be transported to the Covid-19 facility.
Police have not released any further information on the matter.
The search for the two escaped individuals is currently in progress.
