Covid-19: Maldives records 146th casualty

Malé, Maldives – Heath Protection Agency (HPA) has revealed that a 61 year old Maldivian male being treated at Hulhumalé Covid Facility has passed away due to the virus.

According to HPA, the individual passed away at 14:25 this afternoon marking the second death of the day and 146th death in the nation since the pandemic spread in the island nation.

In addition to this, an additional death from Addu City was also recorded this morning. According to HPA, a 91 year old Maldivian made who was admitted at Addu City covid facility had passed away at 10:20 this morning.

This comes while the total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in the country has reached 58,345 out of which 34,159 patients have made full recoveries, as of 18:00 of May 25, 2021. Maldives has recorded 146 Covid-19 related deaths since the first case was identified in the country.
