President declares government holiday on 28 & 29 July

Malé, Maldives – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Wednesday, has announced government holiday on the 28th and 29th of this month.

The President’s Office released a statement today, announcing the changes.

The author states that the purpose of declaring additional public holidays is to tackle any inconveniences for government employees who are travelling for this holiday. They added that the added holidays will ensure an extended holiday duration without an interruption.

The government offices will reconvene after the holidays on August 1st.
