Malé, Maldives – Maldives Police Service (MPS) has revealed that the explosion which occurred last night in Hulhumalé was due to a mishap while welding.
The explosion occurred last night around 12:30 in Hulhumalé lot 1138 terrace where welding works were being carried out. According to MPS no one was injured in the blast.
While no further details have been shared till now, MPS and Maldives National Defence Force had cordoned and blocked the whole area until 03:30 during the early hours of the day following the incident.
