No patients admitted at Hulhumalé Covid-19 facility for 3 consecutive days

Hulhumalé, Maldives – No patients have been admitted at Hulhumalé Medical Facility for three consecutive days, following the decrease in number of Covid-19 in Malé.

This is the first time Hulhumalé Medical Facility has remained vacant after the recent Covid-19 wave which saw record number and of daily Covid-19 cases and patients admitted at the facility. The last patient admitted at the facility was discharged on July 29.

An official from Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) informed that as of 18:00 on Sunday, the facility remains vacant as there are no patients. However, nurses and medical personnel at the facility are always prepared for a possible situation.

Maldives is now recovering from Covid-19 after the recent Covid-19 wave which startled the entire country. 115 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded in the past 24 hours. This includes 23 cases from Malé City. According to the recent statistics released by HPA, there are currently 20 Covid-19 patients admitted at Covid facilities throughout the nation. This number was recently over 200.
