COVID-19: S.Feydhoo records 32 new cases in one day!

Addu City, Maldives – Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH) reveals that 32 new cases have been recorded in Addu City, Feydhoo district in one day.

The statistics released by AEH shows that 32 cass were recorded in Feydhoo of the total 42 daily new cases in Addu atoll. With the additional 42 cases confirmed yesterday, the total number of active cases in Addu City has risen to 249.

At present, the highest number of active cases are in Maradhoo with 93 cases, followed by Feydhoo with 89 active Covid-19 cases and Hithadhoo with 56 cases, while Maradhoofeydhoo has 5 cases and Gan has one active case.

AEH further informs that the number of cases in Hulhumeedhoo remained steady with 3 active cases in Meedhoo and 2 active cases in Hulhudhoo as of Wednesday.

Additionally, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) reveals that 142 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the Maldives. It was detailed that out of the 142 cases, 42 were from the Malé area, while 88 cases were recorded from inhabited islands. The figures also revealed that 12 new cases were found from operational, adding upto 1,674 active cases in the country.

With this Maldives continues the trend of higher percentage of cases recorded in the islands.

The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Maldives has reached 84,017 out of which 82,101 patients have made full recoveries, as of September 22, 2021.
