Malé, Maldives – Health Ministry, today, started an investigation into the death of a 6 year old girl while receiving treatment at the Fuvahmulah Hospital.
The Ministry of Health stated the probe into the child’s death amid allegations of negligence from the hospital.
The six year old was taken to the hospital yesterday exhibiting symptoms of stomach ache and vomiting. Local news reports the injection of the wrong medication prior to the child’s death.
As the case is under investigation, the Ministry of Health has conveyed no further information on the case.
The deceased is the only girl child of the Maldivian hotelier and Secretary General Of Guesthouse Association Saudullah Ahmed. Salat Al Janaza was held at Masjid Inara, Fuvahmulah City early this morning.
