COVID-19: Maldives records 3 deaths in 24hrs

Malé, Maldives – Health Protection Agency (HPA) reported three Covid-19 related deaths within 24 hours.

The three deaths range between 07:10 on 4 December to 06:29 on 5 December 2021. With this the Covid-19 linked fatalities have escalated to 254.

The 254th Covid-19 death was the passing of a 77 year old Maldivian woman admitted at the Hulhumalé Facility at 06:29 on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the 253rd and 252nd Covid-19 fatalities are a 92 year old Maldivian man from Haa Alif Thuraakunu who passed away at 08:28 and a 93 year old Maldivian man who was admitted at Dh. Kudahuvadhoo Atoll Hospital who passed at 07:10.

Maldives recorded 102 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday taking the total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Maldives to 92,095. The new cases include 25 cases from greater Malé area, 72 cases from inhabited islands, 5 cases from operational resorts.
