STO dispatches ambulances to 20 additional islands

Malé, Maldives – State Trading Organization (STO) has dispatched 20 additional ambulances to the islands.

This is the second shipment of the ambulances procured by the State Trading Organization (STO) in connection to the MOU signed by STO and the Ministry of Health in June 2021 to bring 96 ambulances for the islands within 180 days.

The first batch of ambulances were brought to the Maldives on 13 October 2021 and shipped to respective islands on 19 October 2021.

Ambulances received from the second batch have been handed over to the health centres at AA. Bodufulhudhoo, AA. Mathiveri, ADH. Mandhoo, ADH. Fenfushi, F. Feeali and B.Kendhoo, M. Dhiggaru, M. Kolhufushi, Sh. Bileifahi, Hdh. Kumundhoo, Sh. Narudhoo, M. Kolhufushi, TH. Dhiyamigilli, TH. Buruni, TH. Vandhoo, N.Kudafaree, N.Fohdhoo, L. Kunahandhoo, GA. Kolamaafushi, GA. Nilandhoo, and Gdh. Rathafandhoo.

The government states that 60 ambulances will be brought to the Maldives by the end of 2021.
