FENAKA takes over utility services of Huraa

K. Huraa, Maldives – FENAKA, a state-owned utility service provider in the Maldives, has taken the provision of utility services of Huraa island under its wing.

These services were handed over to FENAKA Corporation in a ceremony held in K. Huraa, on 1st March 2022. The agreement was signed by Managing Director Ahmed Saeed Mohamed on behalf of FENAKA, and by Council President Easa Ahmed on behalf of K. Huraa.

This marks the first time FENAKA is providing utility services to an island in the Kaafu Atoll, which is mainly under another State Electric Company (STELCO) and Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC). With regards to this, FENAKA stated that the company envisages not only providing utility services to Huraa, but also other nearby atolls as well.

Following the take over, FENAKA reassured the general public of Huraa that the company has already laid out plans to continuously upgrade and maintain the facilities it has undertaken in order to cater to the demand of the island.
