New Deputy Minister appointed for Fisheries Ministry

Malé, Maldives – A new Deputy Minister has been appointed to the Ministry of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture.

On Monday, the President’s Office announced the appointment of Ahmed Faathih to the post, making him the third Deputy Minister of the Fisheries Ministry. Before his new appointment, Ahmed Faathih served as an Immigration Officer at Maldives Immigration.

Ahmed Fathih holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry from the University of Technology Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

Deputy Ministers receive a total of MVR 35,000 in salary, which includes MVR 20,500 in salary and MVR 15,000 in allowances.
