President Solih appoints Deputy Minister to Fisheries Ministry

Male’, Maldives – President of Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih today appointed Hassan Nashid as the Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Marine Resources and Agriculture.

While Hassan Nashid previously served as the General Manager of Horizon Fisheries Private Limited, he was most recently a Principal under the Ministry of Education. Apart from these, he has also worked as a Protocol Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and an Attaché, Consular Affairs, at the High Commission of Maldives in Sri Lanka as well.

Holding a Bachelor of Education in English Language Teaching from Moray House College of Education in Edinburgh, Scotland, Hassan Nashid is currently undertaking a post-graduate programme at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

The Deputy Minister of Maldives receives a monthly basic salary of MVR 20,500 and approximately MVR 15,000 as allowance.
