Gn. Fuvahmulah, Maldives – Three men arrested for sexually assaulting a child have been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
The three men are Ahmed Asim, Abdullah Faruhad and Mohamed Hussain of Gn. Fuvahmulah. All three were charged with touching a child with sexual intentions.
In a hearing held yesterday, a Criminal Court judge declared all three men guilty of the charges raised against them, and sentenced them to ten years in prison each, out of which, they will have to serve 9 years, 10 months and 15 days, accounting for time already served.
As the case concerns a minor, no further details have been released with regards to the crime.
