Malé, Maldives – The issue faced by Velana International Airport (VIA) concerning its check-in systems are still unresolved and will require further three days to solve, the airport said today.
During this time, the airport will experience intermittent system outages, which even now results in both domestic and international travellers experiencing long check in durations.
MACL, which manages VIA has previously never faced such a check in system issue. However, the software issue with it’s checkin systems were first noticed last Monday, resulting in manual check ins and delayed flights.
MACL said that the exact issue with the check in softwares is still unknown.
Individuals travelling during this time are encouraged to contact their airline operators to get upto date information on their check in timings.
