Malé, Maldives – Mohamed Mabrook Azeez thanks President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Maldivian media community following the resignation as Spokesperson of the President’s Office.
In a tweet posted by Mabrook, he stated that he had informed the president of his plan on resigning a few months back and had been planning the transition under President Solih’s guidance.
Mabrook, who came to limelight of the public during the peak of Covid-19 pandemic when he was appointed as the spokesperson of the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC).
Prior to the appointment as Spokesperson of the President’s Office, Mabrook was working as the Undersecretary of Communications at the Presidents Office.

Mabrook also wished good luck to Miuvaan Mohamed who has been appointed as his replacement. Mabrook stated that with Miuvaan’s experience in the field of journalism and as a government communication official that he would be a great fit as the new spokesperson.
