Former Chief of Protocol Mohamed Ahmed passes away

Malé, Maldives – Foreign Ministry’s former Chief of Protocol, Mohamed Ahmed has passed away today at the age of 72.

Mohamed Ahmed served the government for 42 years, holding various high level positions.

In addition to holding the post of Chief of Protocol, he also headed Maldives Immigration, Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) and National Institute of Education.

Following his passing, current Foreign Minister, Abdulla Shahid has sent condolences to the family.
