Covid-19: Recovery cases surpass 1000

Male’, Maldives – 85 more people have recovered from Covid-19 in Maldives.

Including the 85 people that have recovered, the total amount of recovery cases in Maldives has now increased to 1010.

Although most number of Covid-19 cases in Maldives are of immigrant workers living in Maldives., the majority of the recovery cases consist of Maldivian nationals.

There are a total of 1,942 confirmed cases in Maldives. While 10 people are currently receiving care for Covid-19 in hospitals, 8 have passed away due to the virus in Maldives so far. Among the deceased are 4 Maldivians and 4 foreigners.

Including the additional 26 confirmed cases as of 6 pm today, there are a total of 922 active cases in Maldives.

The additional 26 cases were of 19 Maldivian nationals and 7 Bangladeshi nationals.

While 939 people are in isolation facilities, 532 are in quarantine facilities.
