The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases worldwide has increased over 8 million.
According to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University, 8,052,090 cases for the virus have been recorded globally. While 3,889,788 people have recovered, a total of 437,283 have passed away from the virus.
Currently, the United States is most affected by the pandemic with over 2.1 million Covid-19 cases and a death toll of 116,090.
After United states, the most number of Covid-19 cases are in Russia and Brazil. While Russia has over 544,000 confirmed cases, Brazil has 888,000 confirmed cases for the virus.
According to the Johns Hopkins tally, excluding Brazil, Russia and the United States, The countries, India, Britain, Spain, Italy and Peru have confirmed cases for Covid-19 over 200,000.
The confirmed cases increased to over 8 million when the lock down restrictions were eased in some countries.
