Male’, Maldives – Health Emergency Operation Center (HEOC) has announced that an additional Covid-19 death has been confirmed in the country on Friday.
The statement by HEOC and HPA read that the deceased today was a 69 year old local male admitted at the 11th floor of the Dharumavantha Hospital (DH11) who passed away at 09:34 am on Friday, marking the 48th death in the country due to the virus.
As per the latest covid-19 statistics of the country, there are a total of 633 active cases of Covid-19, with 66 seeking treatment at hospitals. So far, 13,308 individuals have tested positive for the virus in the country so far, with 12,521 having have made full recoveries. Unfortunately, 48 have passed away at the hands of the virus.
