Malé, Maldives – Perpetrator who attacked Spokesperson and State Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Technology Ali Solih, has been arrested, revealed Police.
Earlier today, Ali Solih was attacked while on a road in Hulhumalé, by a blade knife-weilding individual. According to Ali Solih, the perpetrator recited some verses of the Quran before attempting to run the blade across his neck, and that the knife missed his neck and slit part of his arm and shirt because he had increased the speed of the vehicle at that moment.
The attacker is said to have gone away while looking back repeatedly.
Police are now investigating the attack.
