Malé, Maldives – As rough weather looms over Maldives, the Maldives Meteorological Center (MET) has issued a white alert notice for the entire country.
The duration of the current notice spans from 14:00 to 20:00 today, during which heavy rain accompanied with thunder can be expected.
Winds are forecasted to be at around 19 to 24 miles per hour, going up to as high as 45 miles per hour during strong gusts. With seas also expected to be rough during this time, authorities advice all traveling by sea to be cautious of the weather, and to take all protective and precautionary measures in case of an emergency.
