Malé, Maldives – Maldives Police Service has revealed that 22 year old Shiaau Mohamed Saeed who was found murdered on August 6, 2022 was repeatedly attacked even after she passed away.
In a press conference held moments ago, Police revealed that she had died following the injuries according to the preliminary post-mortem reports.
The 22-year old from Fuvahmulah City was found decapitated and her limbs mutilated at H. Sheereenvilla, Malé City. 23 year old skater Ali Saahil was arrested from the crime scene and is being held in remand until the end of his trial.
According to police, they have gathered enough evidence against Saahil and that the case will be sent to Prosecutor General’s Office in the next two weeks for prosecution.
Police further added that they have found out how he had killed Shiaau and had evidence to charge him with murder. However, the motive for the murder has not been established and police had told that they were investigating the matter further.
It was previously revealed that Ali Saahil who was arrested in connection to the crime was under the influence of drugs at the time of arrest. Police did not revealed the exact type of drug the 23 year old skater was under the influence of at the time.
