Malé, Maldives – A young man has been arrested for allegedly dealing in drugs on the streets of Malé, City.
Police said today that a 25-year-old man was arrested in the case. The youth, who appears in the video posted on social media, was remanded in custody for 15 days by the Criminal Court today.
The 40-second video shows a young man selling drugs to people on a motorcycle. A man on another motorcycle hands him a hundred rufiyya and gives him a packet.
The 40-second video shows two other people going to the place with the money and being given the packets.
The public has criticized the police for dealers so openly dealing drugs on the streets during the day.
