MVR 100,000 robbed from RDC Office

Malé, Maldives – Road Development Corporation (RDC) office has been broken into and MVR 100,000 stolen last week.

The theft was reported to the Police earlier today at 10:00. The thieves entered the office, located on the first floor of the MNSL building through the vent system.

While the thieves also stole personal property of employees, laptops and other tech equipment were left behind in a pile.

RDC is a 100% state owned entity formed by a presidential decree in June 2019 with the aim of promoting the construction of rigid and flexible development of roads, repair and maintenance of bridges, building of highways and causeways, with construction materials and reinforced landscaping.
