The Ministry also requested everyone to administer the Covid-19 vaccines at the earliest for the safety of students.

Previously, the Education Ministry on July 26, sent a letter to the management of all the schools, stating that they highly encourage all school staff to get fully vaccinated before the new academic year, as to allow for schools to reopen in the normal situation.

The Education Ministry informed local schools to ensure that all their staff has completed both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine prior to the new academic year.

While it has been over four months since the schools were closed due to the detection of Covid-19 in the islands, a new academic year is set to begin this August 10.
