Malé, Maldives – Maldives Police Service has arrested a 37 year old man regarding the domestic abuse case earlier today.
A video circulated early this morning of a woman covered in blood being escorted by the police from a private residence causing concern by netizens.
The man has allegedly stabbed the woman in her thigh causing blood loss.
Police state that while the Indian couple suffered various degrees of injuries the woman was received major injuries.
The woman is being treated for injuries at a local hospital.
