President appoints junior Ministers to three Ministries

Malé, Maldives – President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih appointed two state Ministers and one Deputy Ministers this week.

The President appointed Mohamed Aneel to the post of State Minister at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Mohamed Nasih Rasheed to the post of Minister of State for Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment on Sunday.

On Monday, President Solih appointed Luayyu Saeed to the post of Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Prior to his appointment, Uz Aneel served as the head imam of Hithadhoo Island in Addu City.

Prior to his new appointment, Mohamed Nasih Rasheed was serving as a Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment.

Before his new appointment, Luayyu Saeed served as the General Manager—Finance at the Maldives Real Estate Investment Corporation (MREIC). He also served at the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) as an internal audit executive and at the Auditor General’s Office as a senior auditor.
